We take a closer look at the intersection of AI, sustainability, art and design. How does AI affect the social and environmental dimensions of sustainability? How does it affect creative processes? And can designers and artists use these tools and strategies to bring about urgent change? When and how should we resist the technological solutions?

This conference aims to bring together a community of researchers and practitioners, of thought and practice, to transform.

We invite contributions from all disciplines, especially but not limited to art, design, architecture, fashion, philosophy, psychology, computer science, geography, ethnography, law and environmental sciences.

Transform 2023 is organised and hosted by the recently founded KINDlab of the Campus of Art and Design at the University of Applied Sciences Trier as part of KITeGG, a joint project of five universities on the integration of AI in design education.
